VES: Video Editing System

The Video Editing System allows you to copy video from one tape to another based on information that you provide. This information may be exact times (according to the VITC timecode on the tape) or times determined by the coding information (according to the dataset and variable files). The editing process produces smooth, professional looking edits with no jumping or distortion during transitions. The VCR Control and VITC timecode reading options are highly recommended for this software. VES incorporates the VCR Remote software.

Automatic editing allows you to start an edit and come back to it when it's finished.

Video Edit Job Files allow you to define what tape to transfer by the events that have been coded during that time.

Video Edit Lists allow you to define what tape to transfer by frame-specific time values.

Timecode preservation allows you to maintain an unbroken timecode on the target tape.

VES works with VITC timecode and can use both NTSC and PAL formats. It is also capable of converting its editing files into the EDL video editing standard for export to other video editing programs.
