Lab PDFs

TRC can design a multimedia research lab to accommodate your specific needs, whether observational, video editing, or both. Whatever your field and project, TRC will work with you to design the best possible system. All lab designs are free of charge.

We currently have three files in Adobe Acrobat PDF format available for download. These PDFs show earlier lab configurations that will give you an idea of what we can do. However, you are by no means limited to these designs. If you want information about our more current or about custom lab configuration designs, please Contact Us or visit our Customer Support page. Design configurations can also be requested using our Quote Request form regarding a no cost initial lab design estimate, or for a full lab design & installation proposal.

Labs can consist of a single camera or VCR attached to a computer, multiple cameras and video editing equipment, or anything in between.

The PDFs are divided for convenience into three categories: stationary, portable, and editing. Stationary labs are those labs intended for observing largely in one place. Portable labs are primarily for field work or any other situation in which the equipment will need to be moved frequently. The editing lab pdfs show examples of labs meant solely for video editing.

These divisions are merely a convenience. Features of any type of lab may be combined. For example, a stationary lab could use a portable computer, which could be used elsewhere for analysis. Also, any lab may fulfill the dual functions of observation and editing. Labs are custom designed to fit your needs, and can include whatever combination of equipment and software will best suit you.
